Are there standard sizes of containers?
Yes, all containers are manufactured to an ISO standard size. There are a wide variety of containers, ranging from standard dry containers, and refrigerated containers, to specialised containers manufactured to carry specific types of cargo. The most readily available containers are either 6m or 12m long by 2.4m wide.
How are containers delivered?
Containers are generally delivered using either a flatbed truck, or alternatively a crane truck, if the delivery location has no offloading facilities. We can arrange for either method of delivery.
How old are used containers?
No, we do not assist with the actual shipping of cargo, we focus on the sales of containers themselves. We can assist with relevant contact details for shipping companies if required.
What is a High Cube?
High Cube containers have an additional foot of internal height. Standard containers are 8ft high and High Cubes are 9ft high.
Can Containerships ship cargo?

What is a one-way container?
This is a container that has been used once for the shipment of goods from the location where the container was manufactured, to the location where the container is available for sale. It is also referred to as a New Build container.

We provide steel dry cargo and aluminium containers in two lengths – roughly, either 6 or 12 metres. We also supply cube containers, which are higher than the standard containers.

CAN I RENT A CONTAINER THAT’S ALREADY CONVERTED FOR A SPECIAL USE, FOR EXAMPLE AS AN OFFICE?
Yes. We offer various kinds of converted containers for rent. These include offices with various specifications (some with air conditioning), ablution blocks, kitchens and general stores. We don’t make up rental units specifically for one client – although we do handle custom conversions of units for sale.
